We are seeking a seasoned National OTC Sales Leader to drive national strategy, scale distribution, and accelerate revenue growth for our fast-growing OTC portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong trade understanding, FMCG/OTC depth, and hands-on field execution experience.
Core ObjectiveTo drive sales, distribution expansion, brand visibility, and prescription-free recommendation of OTC products through a robust trade network and high-performing field force.
Key ResponsibilitiesVolume & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Drive strong secondary sales from chemists & retailers
- Expand presence across GT, MT, and other trade channels
Distribution & Market Expansion
- Appoint and manage stockists / super stockists
- Improve numeric & weighted distribution
- Ensure strong product availability and shelf visibility
Trade Marketing & Retail Visibility
- Execute in-shop branding (posters, danglers, shelf strips)
- Design chemist schemes & retailer incentive programs
- Ensure planogram compliance and visibility standards
Field Force Leadership
- Lead, mentor & scale the OTC sales team nationally
- Set beat plans, productivity benchmarks & performance targets
- Conduct joint field work & structured performance reviews
Brand Building & Consumer Activation
- Collaborate with marketing on brand campaigns
- Drive consumer awareness initiatives
- Lead sampling & activation programs
- Ensure strong brand messaging at point of sale
Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking
- Monitor competitor brands, pricing, claims & schemes
- Capture chemist & consumer insights
- Share actionable feedback with leadership & marketing teams
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to drug & advertising regulations
- Maintain ethical trade practices
- Follow internal SOPs and reporting systems
- Sales target achievement (%)
