The Opportunity At Randstad, we are partnering with a well established timber mill leader in Fyshwick to source an experienced Office Administration Assistant. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will serve as the central administrative engine of the site, liaising with production, sales, logistics, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure seamless operational success.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operational Coordination: Enter production data, track timber stock levels, and assist with production scheduling and planning.
- Logistics & Dispatch Support: Organise truck deliveries, prepare transport paperwork, track freight movements, and coordinate with transport providers.
- Customer & Sales Administration: Process customer orders, prepare quotes and invoices, handle enquiries, and follow up outstanding payments.
- General Office & Accounts Support: Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, basic bookkeeping, payroll administration, time sheets, and purchasing supplies.
- Compliance & Site Records: Maintain WHS records, training logs, contractor compliance, licensing documents, and environmental records.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Experience: Background in administration, customer service, or logistics within manufacturing, timber, construction, or operational environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Sound computer skills including Microsoft Excel, with the ability to quickly learn business management systems like JDE.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, truck drivers, suppliers, and clients.
- Organisation & Detail: Exceptional time management skills with a sharp eye for detail and accurate record keeping in a fast paced setting.
- Mandatory Requirements: Must hold a current Driver's Licence and maintain a strong commitment to WHS safety standards.
