Permanent role with one of most Australia's most reputed logistics leader (our client). Due to business growth, there is an opportunity for two experienced Operations Supervisors to lead their day-to-day transport operations.
We have two dedicated streams available depending on your skill set and background:
... - Role 1: Specialised Operations Supervisor
- Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm (Mon–Fri)
- Focus: Specialised freight, high-volume equipment allocation, and team oversight.
- Requirements: High Reach / Forklift (LF Ticket) + strong knowledge of WA Fatigue Management and Load Restraint guidelines.
- Role 2: Dangerous Goods (DG) Operations Supervisor
- Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm (Mon–Fri)
- Focus: DG compliance, driver scheduling, and specialized fleet movement.
- Requirements: In-depth knowledge of WA Fatigue Legislation and DG Compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Provide strong day-to-day leadership, support, and direction; foster a psychologically safe, inclusive team culture to drive retention.
- Fleet & Driver Allocation: Allocate prime movers and trailers to meet operational needs, set clear departure schedules, and manage driver rosters in strict alignment with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WA Fatigue Management rules.
- Full Employee Lifecycle: Handle recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and conflict resolution in partnership with People & Capability.
- Operational Accuracy: Oversee scanning, manifesting, and receiving depot communications to ensure on-time service delivery and issue resolution.
- Compliance & Safety: Participate in incident investigations, enforce safety standards, and track mandatory license renewals and medical checks.
- Rotational Support: Participate in weekend work and act as designated after-hours contact on a rotational basis.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory/leadership role within transport or logistics.
- Proven background managing and leading driver teams in a busy transport operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of WA Fatigue Management, CoR obligations, and freight movement processes
