Job Title: Engineering - Specialized - Packaging Design Engineer

  Job Description: This position designs and develops returnable and expendable packaging for individual piece parts and bulk shipping.  Proper packaging design includes part containment, protection, and optimization of transportation and other supply chain functions.

  Key Responsibilities:

- Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to define and implement export packaging solutions.
- Conduct containerization analysis and provide cost estimates.
- Support feasibility studies for various package options based on commodity type.
- Resolve safety and quality issues arising from current packaging.
- Address issues reported by customers and process partners.
- Research and implement new techniques and technologies, including materials, to continually improve container/trailer packaging capability.
