As a Packaging Designer, you are the bridge between technical engineering and consumer experience. You will join an energetic, multidisciplinary team responsible for the entire development lifecycle—from the first conceptual sketch to high-volume mass production.
Your mission is to develop innovative, high-quality packaging that protects our high-tech products (like shavers and grooming tools) while reflecting the premium Philips brand. You will work in a fast-paced, international environment, collaborating daily with Marketing, Supply Chain, and global suppliers to ensure our packaging is "shelf-ready," user-friendly, and environmentally responsible.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-End Development: Designing functional and distinctive packaging solutions using 2D/3D CAD software.
Prototyping & Validation: Creating physical prototypes in our state-of-the-art labs and supervising qualitative tests to ensure durability.
Technical Engineering: Managing material selection (cardboard, plastics, bio-materials) and technical specifications within the C-PLM (Windchill) system.
Sustainability Leadership: Actively reducing the environmental footprint of our packaging in line with Philips’ strategic green objectives.
Risk Management: Using the V-model methodology and performing FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to prevent production or shipping issues.
