Responsibilities
In this Payroll Coordinator position located in Toronto, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in processing employee timesheets and payroll data to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all staff in accordance with Canadian federal and provincial standards.
- Assist in the preparation, filing, and verifying of all necessary payroll tax reports and remittances (including the PD7A), with a primary focus on the timely preparation and electronic filing of T4, T4A, and Quebec provincial slips (RL-1s) with the CRA and Revenu Québec.
- Support migration of payroll data from a legacy platform to a new ERP.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for complex payroll-related inquiries, providing in-depth technical guidance and troubleshooting cloud-based software issues.
- Utilize CRM tools and dashboards to track interactions, ensuring all cases are documented with high precision and accuracy.
- Lead and assist with specialized payroll assignments and projects as they arise.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
In this Payroll Coordinator position located in Toronto, we are looking for:
- PCP in progress or completed is a very strong asset.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience processing payroll for Canadian employees is required.
- Multiprovince payroll processing knowledge/experience is a strong asset.
- Experience with various payroll systems is a strong asset, including ADP, Ceridian, Payworks, etc.
- Experience/knowledge of payroll year-end closing is a strong asset.
- Access to a personal device (laptop/ computer) is required.
- Must be comfortable with constant internal and external communication.
- Must be tech savvy and proficient in utilizing modern digital tools effectively.
- Must be able to pass a Canadian payroll knowledge assessment.
