- Data Collection & Entry: Gather attendance data, leave records, and overtime hours from various departments to ensure the payroll database is up to date.
- Salary Calculation: Assist in calculating gross and net pay, including deductions for taxes, insurance, and retirement funds (e.g., EPF, 401k, or Social Security).
- Compliance Management: Learn and apply statutory regulations such as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and professional taxes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain digital and physical files for payroll processed, tax forms, and employee contracts.
- Employee Query Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding payslips, tax deductions, or reimbursement status.
- Reporting: Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management or audit purposes.
