Are you an experienced Principal Technical Specialist looking to play a critical technical lead role in high-impact cyber security infrastructure upgrades? We are seeking a skilled specialist to lead the implementation, optimisation, and hands-on deployment of enterprise firewall solutions, ensuring the performance, compliance, and resilience of essential digital health systems.
1) What You Will Do:
- Lead the end-to-end deployment, upgrade, and configuration of primary Check Point firewalls alongside Palo Alto, F5, and SWG solutions.
- Integrate enterprise firewall architectures with Cisco routing and switching to ensure high availability and seamless connectivity.
- Orchestrate firewall rulebases and policy governance using AlgoSec, while proactively monitoring system health via SolarWinds.
- Develop comprehensive technical artefacts, including solution designs, change plans, implementation strategies, and configuration procedures.
- Provide third-level escalation support, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and strategic advice across firewall replacement projects.
2) What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Extensive hands-on experience in building, upgrading, troubleshooting, and policy-optimising Check Point firewall technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto solutions, F5 (LTM/GTM/WAF), and Cisco routing and switching integration.
- Practical knowledge of rulebase orchestration using AlgoSec (or equivalent NSPM tools) and monitoring via SolarWinds.
- Proven background in delivering high-quality technical artefacts alongside standard ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to lead and collaborate within high-performing teams.
