Production Engg Optimization: Managing setup, parameter settings, and operation of extrusion machinery (e.g., single/multiple).
• Process Engineering: Develop, analyze, and enhance manufacturing processes to increase productivity, improve product quality, and reduce waste/scrap rates.
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve critical process, equipment, and part issues on the shop floor, applying root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why).
• Tooling & Equipment: Oversee mold/tool maintenance, setup, and changes, and collaborate with vendors for machinery upgrades or repairs.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Implement and sustain quality control systems (ISO 9001/ISO 14001/TS 16949), ensuring finished products meet dimensional, visual, and regulatory standards.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead trials for new products, validate process windows, and manage the transition from prototyping to full production.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Train, coach, and mentor junior engineers and operators on extrusion techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain, update, and review technical documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and BOMs.
