We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Road Safety Program Coordinator to support the delivery of vital road safety initiatives. In this position, you will play a key role in coordinating grant and education programs aimed at reducing road trauma and improving community safety outcomes.
Working across multiple program streams, you will manage end-to-end grant lifecycles, coordinate financial and contractual requirements, and build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
...- Program & Grant Coordination: Oversee the planning, implementation, delivery, and reporting phases for grant and education programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and advise external applicants and stakeholders to negotiate strong program and safety outcomes.
- Financial & Contract Management: Oversee project budgets, invoicing, payment schedules, and contractual responsibilities.
- Procurement & Administration: Prepare documentation to support the procurement of external expertise, and handle high-level program administration.
- Communications: Draft program guidelines, notification letters, media releases, newsletters, and executive briefing documents.
- Process Improvement: Identify innovative approaches to improve program efficiency, effectiveness, and best-practice delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in program coordination along with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Requirements & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating programs within a community, government, or public sector environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or formal training in Project Management (or a related field) is highly desirable.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and influence skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven experience managing program administration, budgets, procurement, and contract lifecycles.
- Excellent communication skills with experience drafting clear, concise professional correspondence and briefs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for this role.
