- Manage biology-focused pre-clinical programs, including reporter cell line development, cell-based assays, and animal studies, from study design through execution and reporting
- Select and manage CRO partners — contracting, budgeting, and performance oversight — ensuring studies are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Act as the technical bridge between internal teams and CRO partners: review protocols, data, and reports, and drive resolution of technical and operational issues
- Apply hands-on technical skills to design and conduct cell-based experiments, and support animal studies as needed
- Transition smoothly from external CRO management to hands-on bench work once the wet lab is set up
- Track project timelines, milestones, and budgets; proactively identify and mitigate risks, and provide regular status updates to management
- Master's degree or above in biology, cell biology, pharmacology, or a related life science discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience is required
- Hands-on experience with reporter cell lines, cell-based assays, and animal (in vivo) studies
- Solid technical background sufficient to design experiments, troubleshoot, and perform wet-lab work independently
- Experience managing or coordinating CROs for cell-based assays and/or animal studies
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams
- Bilingual communication in Chinese and English; experience supporting IND-enabling or regulatory studies is preferred.
