- Localization & Sourcing: Interface with Project and SCM teams to prioritize supplier development, improve cost competitiveness, and drive component localization.
- Supplier Qualification & Selection: Conduct robust screening, capability assessments, and qualification processes to select preferred suppliers.
- Performance Management: Track supplier scorecards, rankings, and KPIs to ensure consistent delivery across performance, quality, cost, and capacity metrics.
- Technical & Quality Leadership: Lead APQP, PPAP, VA/VE initiatives, and component approvals. Ensure suppliers adhere to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer standards.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to define process parameters and support new product launches.
Key Competencies Required
- Strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, and FMEA frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in vendor qualification, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Solid commercial acumen, financial understanding, and negotiation skills.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and data presentation abilities.
