Responsibilities
•Departmental Leadership: Manage and lead the QA department, setting daily priorities and providing expert guidance based on established best practices.
•Project Coordination: Oversee work activities for technical and non-technical accountabilities, including programming, technical support, and training.
•Strategy & Analysis: Consult with developers and analysts to identify, document, and isolate defects while reviewing requirements for system conformance.
•Test Management: Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for both functional and non-functional testing requirements.
•Quality Control: Validate the accuracy of test results, manage the defect log, and report on overall testing progress to leadership.
•System Expertise: Continually expand knowledge in specific systems to provide high-level oversight of software changes.
Qualifications
•Education: Degree in a related discipline.
•Leadership Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience, including demonstrated success in managing technology teams and resource planning.
•Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in the Test Life Cycle, SDLC, risk-based testing, and functional/non-functional methodologies.
•Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Visio), Google Workspace, and collaboration tools like Smartsheet.
•Communication: Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on high-quality customer service and reporting.
•Clearance: Ability to pass and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance (a mandatory requirement for this role).
•Preferred Assets: Previous experience in policing, paramilitary, or large-scale enterprise project planning environments.
