Are you an experienced Support Worker with a proven history of supporting children and young people in crisis?
We are seeking dedicated and resilient individuals to join our specialist team.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role where your skills in managing complex situations, de-escalating heightened behaviours, and building trust will provide a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable young people.
Your Core Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care and daily support within a residential setting.
Confidently manage and defuse challenging behaviours to ensure safety.
Make decisive, appropriate decisions in high-pressure situations.
Maintain detailed, accurate daily records and incident reports.
Creatively engage with young people to establish positive relationships.
Collaborate with the wider team to implement care plans effectively.
Demonstrate strong judgement and maintain clear professional boundaries.
Essential Requirements (Must-Haves)
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Eligibility to work in the UK.
A minimum of 6 months' paid experience as a residential children's support worker within the last 3 years.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
An updated enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one).
A valid overseas police certificate (if you've lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years).
Highly Desirable
An NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
A genuine and demonstrable commitment to the welfare of children.
