The Risk Coordinator is responsible for leading the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, overseeing external liability claims processing and facilitating the Council's annual insurance policy requirements.

What you will need to exceed
- Significant knowledge and experience in risk management, including familiarity with relevant legislation and the Australian Risk Management standards.
- A strong background in the general insurance industry. This includes managing relationships with insurance brokers, understanding liability and litigation processes and handling claims.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management policies, practices and procedures, which includes managing fraud and corruption control.
- Demonstrated experience in training and coaching staff on how to conduct risk assessments and process analyses to identify controls.
- Highly developed written communication skills, specifically the ability to convey information to the public in a way that is easy to understand and helpful.
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities. You must be able to prioritise duties, manage competing tasks, meet deadlines and achieve targets.
