Responsibilities
Pipeline Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured data.
Data Modeling: Develop and optimize robust data models and data warehousing solutions to ensure high performance and reliability.
BI & Reporting: Create intuitive dashboards, data visualizations, and reports that empower business units to make data-driven decisions.
Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data security, privacy standards, and quality frameworks across all data assets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a closely related technical field.
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in SQL, Python, or Scala, along with hands-on experience utilizing modern cloud data platforms (such as Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Snowflake/Databricks.
BI Tooling: Proven track record building advanced reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Methodologies: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling (Kimball), and CI/CD practices in a data environment.
Language Skills: Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
