We are looking for a Scientific/Administrative Assistant in the Food Contact Materials area to work in the FIP Unit.

key responsibilities
- Screening technical in-house data on a variety of technologies of the recycling of plastic for food contact uses and grouping them for type and quality;
- Management of a procurement on literature search and market study on recycling of plastic for food contact uses, coordinating the work of an external partner;
- Constructing a database containing all data;
- Support the organisation of meetings with external experts, drafting agenda and taking minutes;
- Preparing and coordinating meetings and interactions with industrial associations and other external stakeholders.
qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of English (at least B2 level);
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in the area of chemical engineering, industrial engineering, polymer science, food contact materials;
- Experience in drafting scientific/academic reports in formal English;
- IT experience in managing scientific databases;
- Working with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results, good level of autonomy.
Assignment: initial contract 3 months, with possibility of extensions. Expected duration of assignment 12 months.
Salary: approx €2326 per month before taxes.
Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.
