Job Title: Senior Finance Executive – Accounts Payable (Procure-to-Pay)

We are recruiting on behalf of South East Asia’s largest integrated producer in its sector, a premier publicly listed industrial group on the Bursa Malaysia Main Market. Operating extensive manufacturing complexes and a broad global distribution network, the organization continues to expand its regional footprint. They are seeking a driven Senior Finance Executive – Accounts Payable to join their regional corporate headquarters in Klang.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Management: Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, ensuring precise, timely processing of high-volume trade and non-trade supplier invoices, debit notes, and payment batches.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison for key international and local suppliers; drive monthly vendor reconciliations, manage payment cycles, and resolve complex billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital Control: Monitor weekly disbursement schedules and cash outflows to optimize working capital and maintain healthy liquidity.
- Compliance & Statutory Requirements: Ensure AP workflows strictly adhere to local tax regulations (including SST and e-Invoicing frameworks), internal financial controls, and group governance standards.
- Process Optimization & Systems: Partner with procurement and IT teams to refine P2P automation, strengthen internal controls, and support system enhancements within ERP environments.
- Reporting & Auditing: Prepare AP aging reports, accrual schedules, and variance analysis for monthly management reporting; liaise directly with internal and external auditors.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or similar).
- Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of solid accounts payable / P2P experience, ideally gained within high-volume manufacturing, heavy industry, or large corporate environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with major ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong familiarity with Malaysian tax/e-Invoicing mandates is essential.
- Competencies: Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement and vendor negotiation.
