Role & responsibilitiesTo carry out detailed design of the allocated projects for I&C portion of the project. Develop optimized For-Construction Design Documentation including but not limited to:
- Instrument Index
- Instrument data sheets
- Selection of instrument model nos
- PLC IO list
- I&C cable schedule
- Control system architecture
- Understanding of PLC GA & wiring drawings
- UPS sizing calculations
- Understanding of Motor control schematics
- JB grouping and understanding of Junction box wiring drawings
- Provide inputs for Cable tray layouts and skid 3D models and coordinate with the draftsmen to complete the drawings.
- Liaise with external agencies for following subcontracted work and ensure that their output meets the requirements and schedules.
- Preparation of various RFQs in line with the requirements and specifications, offers evaluations, vendor documents review and providing technical clearances / manufacturing clearances.
- To advise and support the Project Manager and other project team members in areas of mechanical, Electrical and detailed design and commissioning throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Attend and participate in internal and external (customer) project meetings.
- To ensure design review processes are undertaken efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure outcomes of reviews are correctly implemented within project budget constraints.
- Ensure design changes are formally documented as Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
Preferred candidate profile At least 8 years experience in the detailed Electrical engineering &design for water and/or waste water equipment. Ability to prepare the instrument data sheets and instrumentindex and model finalization required for the plant as per P&IDand specifications. Demonstrated ability to have carried out detailed designs ofPLC and HMI based control system used in Desalination andwater treatment or other process plants. Understanding of technical standards for systems andcomponents including, but not limited to:
Other applicable standards like NEMA, IEC, IS etc.
