Senior Procurement Engineer - HardwareLocation - ChennaiIndustry - Solar, Wind, Energy Key Responsibilities  1. Hardware Procurement (Primary Responsibility)  • Manage end-to-end procurement of electrical and hardware components used in solar /wind projects (Major components – loggers, switches, Sensors etc)• Interpret project BOQs and specifications to ensure accurate material sourcing • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors on pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, and quality• Prepare and process RFQs, comparative statements, purchase orders, and vendor f inalizations • Ensure procurement is completed within approved budgets and project schedules • Coordinate closely with engineering, project, and finance teams for approvals and execution 2. Vendor Management & Negotiation • Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base for solar and electrical hardware • Conduct price benchmarking and continuous cost optimization • Resolve vendor-related issues including delays, shortages, or quality deviations
