This role blends strategic account expansion with team leadership, focusing on technical sales to multinational semiconductor assembly and testing plants. You will oversee critical accounts across central and eastern regions while guiding junior team members in client strategy and supply management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and capture new market opportunities across central Malaysia while driving account growth for key semiconductor clients.
- Mentor and guide junior sales staff in technical product management and client handling techniques.
- Manage customer credit lines, conduct risk assessments, and ensure timely collections to prevent bad debt.
- Provide technical material recommendations and cost simulations directly to client engineering teams.
- Build strong commercial relationships through regular client engagements, technical consultations, and corporate entertainment.
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven track record (3+ years) in sales or technical account management within the semiconductor or electronics assembly sector.
- Familiarity with semiconductor back-end materials and microchip packaging processes.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel regionally across assigned territories and handle client entertainment.
