About the Client & Role

Randstad Trades & Labour has partnered with a trusted manufacturer based in Rydalmere to secure a skilled Electronics Technician.

In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality electrical and mechanical equipment. You'll be using hand and power tools to assemble products, performing basic through-hole hand soldering, and modifying enclosures, wire harnesses, and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly & Soldering: Execute electrical and mechanical assembly using approved manufacturing procedures, including through-hole hand soldering and component preparation.
• Documentation & Drawings: Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, work orders, and assembly instructions to ensure absolute control over each assembly step.
• Quality Control: Inspect sub-assemblies for high-standard workmanship, verify compliance against documentation, and conduct quality checks throughout the build process.
• Modifications: Modify enclosures, wire harnesses, and sub-assemblies accurately using hand and power tools.
• Workstation & Safety: Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, ensure tools are in good condition, and adhere strictly to all safety rules and regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively alongside other assembly personnel and perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven Experience: Practical experience in electronics manufacturing, including hand soldering and using hand and power tools to assemble products.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical part drawings, with a solid understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
• Dexterity & Precision: Excellent hand-eye coordination, fine manual dexterity, and the ability to work with small, detailed objects accurately and at a good pace.
• Focus & Work Ethic: Ability to carry out repetitive tasks without losing attention to detail, paired with a positive, team-first attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Pre-Employment Clearances: Ability to pass a standard pre-employment Medical Assessment and Drug & Alcohol (D&A) screen.
