As a Shunt Driver/ Warehouse Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment. This is a permanent position offering stability in an essential service industry.
You will be responsible for maneuvering trailers safely throughout the yard and operating a forklift to manage dock operations. This dual-function role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in maintaining an organized, efficient workspace. Working within the fabrication manufacturing & logistics division, you will be part of a team that values safety, precision, and reliability. Whether you are maneuvering a shunt truck with a Class 1 license or utilizing a Forklift on the warehouse floor, your contribution ensures that shipping and receiving deadlines are met daily. This position follows a consistent daytime schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, providing the work-life balance you deserve.

Location: DELTA, BC
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Certifications: Valid Class 1 license or a Class 5 license with air brakes & Forklift ticket
Pay rate: $28.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
• Safely operate a shunt truck to move trailers to and from loading docks within the yard as a primary Shunt Driver.
• Utilize a forklift to load and unload trailers and containers with high precision. (SIT DOWN COUNTERBALANCE)
• Organize and handle merchandise on the dock to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment, including shunt trucks and forklifts.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory movements and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to prioritize shipments based on daily schedules.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
• Assist with general warehouse duties in the manufacturing & logistics department as required.
Qualifications
• Valid Forklift Operator certificate is required. (SIT DOWN COUNTERBALANCE)
• Valid Class 1 driver’s license or a Class 5 license with an Air Brakes is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience operating a shunt truck.
• Minimum of 1 year of consistent forklift operating experience.
• Ability to pass a background check in compliance with current CT-PAT policies.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this Shunt Driver position.
• Reliable transportation to the Delta, BC location.
