In this role, you will be responsible for operating skid steers across various sites, carrying out earthmoving/civil tasks, and using your HR licence to drive heavy vehicles to move machinery, materials, and equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of skid steer loaders on site (civil construction, earthmoving, material handling).
- Operating HR vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and site loads.
- Conducting daily pre-start inspections and basic maintenance on machinery.
- Following site safety procedures, traffic management plans, and environmental guidelines.
- Working collaboratively with site supervisors, labourers, and other machine operators.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mandatory: Valid Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence.
- Mandatory: Skid Steer Ticket / Verification of Competency (VOC)
- Minimum [1–2+] years of experience operating skid steers in earthmoving or civil construction environments.
- Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable transportation and high level of punctuality.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.
