Randstad is recruiting Social Workers to join Swansea Council's Initial Assessment Team, which includes both the CAP MDT and Rapid Response functions. These roles involve statutory assessments, safeguarding children, and working collaboratively to deliver positive outcomes. Some flexibility may be required regarding which part of the team you are assigned to, as both functions are managed under the same manager.
About the Role:
Undertake statutory assessments of children and families following referrals into Children's Services
Analyse risk and need to inform decision-making and next steps
Complete visits, assessments, and reports within statutory timescales
Work collaboratively with partner agencies
Manage a caseload effectively within a hybrid working model
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with experience in children's services, assessment, or safeguarding roles
Registered with Social Care Wales
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Current and valid DBS check
