The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Software Engineer to join a major consulting engagement supporting a leading ASX-listed enterprise in the transport infrastructure sector. This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on the transformation of core enforcement and infringement processes.
You will be responsible for designing and deploying innovative automation tools, building intuitive front-end interfaces, and leveraging AI to drive scalability across multiple Australian jurisdictions (VIC, NSW, QLD).
Key Responsibilities
Full Lifecycle Development: Manage everything from opportunity identification and solution design to coding, testing, and deployment.
Systems Integration: Integrate disparate enterprise systems including Salesforce, gLIDE, Yellowfin, and NES.
Automation & Data: Build and maintain data pipelines, develop RPA bots, and support the ingestion of structured/unstructured data.
UI/UX Tools: Create intuitive front-end tools that simplify complex investigative workflows for end-users.
AI & Analytics: Implement AI-powered analytics to monitor performance metrics and camera automation rates.
Documentation & Training: Lead the design of AI-enhanced process flows and deliver training programs to build team capability in new automation workflows.
Technical Skills & Experience Required
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Software Engineering, Business Transformation, or Operational Excellence roles within complex corporate environments.
Programming: Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
Front-End: Experience with modern web technologies such as Streamlit or ReactJS.
Integration: Expert knowledge of APIs, ETL frameworks, and scripting.
Methodology: Strong background in Agile/DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Soft Skills
Problem Solving: A "strategic thinker" mindset with a focus on resolving system performance issues and data anomalies.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence leadership and collaborate across cross-functional teams (Operations, Technology, and Reporting).
