We are seeking a proactive and skilled Solar O&M Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Rajasthan, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and longevity of solar assets.
Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for solar power plants in Bikaner and Barmer, Rajasthan.
- Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize energy production.
- Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and reliability.
- Respond promptly to any operational issues or emergencies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of O&M activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades to enhance plant performance.
- Prepare regular reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and system health.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants.
- Proven expertise in solar PV technology, including understanding of inverters, string configurations, and monitoring systems.
- Hands-on experience with O&M procedures, troubleshooting, and repair of solar energy systems.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in the power/energy industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using relevant O&M software and tools.
