Overview
Opportunity to join an established enterprise organization within the defence delivery sector to execute end-to-end solution architectures across high-complexity technology initiatives. The position focuses on translating core business capabilities into scalable application, cloud, and integration architecture blueprints, modernizing legacy landscapes, and defining long-term technology roadmaps to fulfill overarching strategic goals.
Key Criteria
- Solution Architecture Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Solution Architecture experience across Application, Cloud, and Integration domains, with the majority of experience focused on front/customer-facing environments.
- Security Clearance: Active NV1 Security Clearance or demonstrated eligibility to obtain NV1 clearance.
- Work History: Minimum 10 years of continuous work experience with Australian companies (checkable Australian work history).
- Industry Experience: Prior experience within or supporting Defence industry clients is strongly preferred.
- Enterprise Strategy: Proven track record designing and executing End-to-End (E2E) Technology Roadmaps within large enterprise environments.
- Certifications: TOGAF certification is preferred.
- Technical Depth: Deep understanding of enterprise application landscapes, APIs, integration frameworks, microservices patterns, cloud platforms, and data flows.
- Delivery Methodology: Demonstrated background working in Agile and product-led delivery models.
- Soft Skills: Pragmatic, solution-focused mindset with strong communication skills and an ability to bridge gaps between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the design and governance of end-to-end solution architectures supporting complex defence delivery programs.
- Formulate and maintain high-level application technology roadmaps that align with broader enterprise technology strategies.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and product owners to translate functional requirements into robust, secure architecture blueprints.
- Evaluate existing application platforms and architect future-state target models, including cloud migration strategies and system modernization.
- Architect complete end-to-end patterns encompassing cloud infrastructure, API management, integration frameworks, data flows, and security requirements.
- Produce and manage formal architectural artefacts, including solution design documents, reference architectures, and governance standards.
- Conduct technical platform evaluations to minimize technical debt and drive technical efficiency.
- Promote best practices, architectural standards, and reusable design patterns across agile delivery teams.
