In this mandate, you will bridge executive vision and technical execution—designing resilient, scalable architectures that integrate custom software builds, enterprise COTS systems, and cloud platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional business stakeholders, internal engineering groups, and external vendors to enforce best practices, optimize application performance, and align solution design with overarching enterprise governance.
Advantages
Competitive contract rate package.
Flexible hybrid model (3 days per week in-office).
Long-term 12-month initial term with strong likelihood of extension.
High-visibility position impacting critical enterprise-wide software initiatives.
Dynamic, collaborative environment combining modern cloud stacks and large-scale integrations.
Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership: Own the end-to-end architectural design for core business applications, leading design sessions to present viable technology options to IT and business leaders.
Technical Strategy & Integration: Establish overall system, data, and integration frameworks (with strong focus on REST/SOAP web services and MuleSoft solutions).
Enterprise Governance: Align solution specifications with broader enterprise standards, authoring comprehensive high-level design (HLD) blueprints and establishing reusable architectural assets.
Quality & Security Assurance: Conduct code reviews, identify potential application performance bottlenecks early, and recommend proactive security/vulnerability mitigations.
Domain Security Awareness: Provide high-level guidance on security concepts (such as IAM/PAM, data protection, and asset management) as they relate to general solution design.
Delivery & Collaboration: Partner with PMO and development teams under Agile/Scrum frameworks to refine sizing, gap analyses, and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Solution Architect, backed by 5 to 7 years of deep, senior-level hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Core Tech Stack: Strong practical background in Java/JEE or .NET, Cloud environments (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
Integration Expertise: Demonstrated track record architecting complex integrations, COTS configurations, and custom software systems. Experience with MuleSoft is considered a strong asset.
Security & Enterprise Systems: Familiarity with ERP/CRM environments and working knowledge of fundamental security domain concepts (IAM/PAM, Data Loss Prevention, or Vulnerability Management).
Communication: Exceptional ability to clearly explain complex technical solutions to executive business stakeholders.
