Technical Writer /UX Designer at Devyser AB
About Devyser
Devyser is a Swedish life science company specializing in the development, manufacture, and sale of advanced solutions for genetic testing. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Stockholm (Årsta), their vision is to make personalized care accessible to everyone by simplifying complex DNA testing for clinical laboratories.
We are now looking for a Technical Writer / UX Designer to join the team. If you are a flexible, down-to-earth professional with expertise in both technical documentation and UX design, this is the company for you!
Your Profile
To succeed and thrive in this role, you are a natural team player. You collaborate effectively and understand the value of achieving collective goals rather than seeking the spotlight. Since Devyser’s environment is characterized by rapid shifts and technical evolution, you should be flexible and able to reprioritize easily when conditions change.
As a person, you are unpretentious; you roll up your sleeves where needed and focus on solutions rather than obstacles, whether the task is strategic or operational. Furthermore, you possess strong communication skills and are adept at tailoring your message to the recipient. A significant part of your work involves acting as a bridge between different disciplines, requiring a strong ability to collaborate with both technical and regulatory teams. You can easily translate complex technical solutions into language that meets strict regulatory requirements without compromising user value or quality.
Responsibilities
Technical Documentation (Main focus on IFU and Manuals)
- Write, update, and maintain Instructions for Use (IFU) for Devyser’s products—both kits and software.
- Structure, import, manage, and publish documentation in Paligo (or similar CCMS tools).
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures according to ISO 13485 and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with external translation agencies and support translation workflows.
- Maintain clarity, consistency, traceability, and regulatory alignment for controlled documents.
UX Design
- Collaborate with software developers to design and refine the user interface.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, or similar tools.
- Support design documentation and traceability (e.g., in Polarion or similar systems).
- Ensure that UX design aligns with product requirements, regulatory constraints, and practical usability.
- Contribute to usability improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical documentation and/or UX design.
- Ability to work across both the documentation and UX fields.
- Experience with UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, or equivalent.
- Experience with design or requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion or similar).
- Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 13485, medical technology, IVD, or similar).
- Professional-level proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of Swedish.
Meritorious
- Experience managing translation vendors and multilingual documentation.
- Knowledge of usability standards, e.g., IEC 62366.
- Interest in or experience with usability validation activities.
- Experience with AI-assisted documentation workflows.
- Background in medtech software or diagnostics.
- Experience with structured authoring (e.g., Paligo or similar CCMS platforms).
