Key Responsibilities
Technical Vetting (75%)
Expert Candidate Screening: Conduct rigorous technical interviews for DPE roles (Architects, Tech Leads, Principal Engineers), evaluating deep-tech competency in full-stack, cloud-native, and mobile ecosystems.
Screen candidates across any combination of the following technologies and concepts (not limited to):
Backend: Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Python
Frontend: React, Angular, Vue, Typescript
Mobile: React Native or native technologies (Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin)
Architectural Patterns: Microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, RESTful APIs, asynchronous messaging
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
Cloud-Native & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines
Messaging & Streaming: Kafka, Pub/Sub, and event-based integration patterns
Databases: Relational:SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLSever, MySQL, Oracle
NoSQL: MongoDB, DynamoDB
Testing & Quality Engineering: Unit testing, test-driven development (TDD) concepts, mocking, test coverage, CI-integrated testing
Using testing frameworks such as:
Backend: JUnit, Mockito, PyTest, Jest (Node)
Frontend: Jest, React Testing Library, Karma, Jasmine
Adjust interview depth based on seniority level and role-specific expectations.
Quality Gatekeeping: Act as the final technical "thumb up/down" for offshore resource deployment, ensuring project-personnel alignment.
Screener Mentorship: Direct and upskill a team of junior offshore screeners, standardizing the evaluation rubrics to ensure consistency in talent quality.
DPE Service Line Development (15%)
Screening Standards & Process Adherence
Follow established DPE screening frameworks, interview templates, and scoring, onboard, and govern engineering teams..
Ensure consistency and fairness across candidate evaluations.
Participate in periodic calibration sessions with senior screeners and architects.
Continuous Improvement & Architecture Awareness
Contribute to improving screening content related to:
Microservices design best practices
Event-driven and asynchronous architectures
Cloud-native application patterns
Stay current with evolving industry practices and technology trends relevant to digital product engineering.
Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of market shifts (e.g., AI-augmented coding, serverless evolution) to ensure our screening criteria remain cutting-edge.
Solution Development & Pre-Sales Support (10%)
Pre-Sales & Solution Alignment
Support solution and pre-sales teams by validating candidate capabilities for proposed engagements.
Assist in assessing role fit for projects involving:
Distributed systems
Microservices and event-driven platforms
Cloud-native delivery models
Knowledge Assets & Accelerators
Contribute to DPE knowledge assets such as:
Screening guides and role-specific checklists
Architecture-focused interview question banks
Baseline skill expectations for modern digital delivery teams
