Join a global leader in the rail and transit sector at their modern Rydalmere workshop. We are looking for a hands-on Trade Assistant who is comfortable with mechanical disassembly. The kind of person who enjoys taking things apart to see how they work.
Location: Rydalmere, NSW
Rate: $38.00 – $40.00/hr + Penalty Rates
Shift: Mon–Fri, 6:30am – 2:36pm (Ongoing to Permanent)
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the disassembly, retrofitting, and reassembly of brake calipers and valves in a controlled bench environment.
Assess part conditions against engineering drawings & perform functional line testing.
Confidently use hand & power tools to maintain pneumatic components.
Complete associated checklists and quality reports to ensure high standards.
What You’ll Need
12+ months of practical Trade Assistant work.
Experience with small engine mechanics, wrecking, or stripping down oil & water pumps is highly regarded.
Proven ability to use hand & power tools for disassembly and cleaning.
Valid OH&S White Card
Permanent Australian residency.
A "can-do" attitude and a high level of safety consciousness.
Highly Desirable
Partial completion of a mechanical trade (Local or Overseas).
Valid NSW LF Forklift License.
Note: Successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening & a police check.
