• Analysis of new accounting and regulatory requirements (e.g leverage ratio, prudential consolidation) as well as impact to Nomura entities
• Communicating UK GAAP and IFRS technical updates to Finance and other members of staff

• Represent the firm's views and participate with industry forums
• Preparing and delivering training materials on areas of accounting change or existing topic areas Policy and interpretations
• Development and maintenance of technical policy documents for technical topic areas
• Liaison with the Accounting Policy Groups regional and global leadership to ensure global
consistency in application of accounting policies Advisory
• Point of contact for Finance colleagues and other departments on accounting-related queries
• Developing and documenting technical interpretations and technical papers to support technical decisions
• Liaison with regional auditors on resolution of technical accounting matters Secondary responsibilities will include:
• Providing input through technical research on regulatory and liquidity policy matters
• Participation in ad hoc Finance initiatives and projects
