Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Team Lead serves as a vital link between management and the floor-based associates. This position is responsible for the real-time supervision of a large-scale department, ensuring that production targets are met through effective labor allocation and proactive problem-solving.

This role is ideally suited for a leader who enjoys being "on the floor" and thrives in a high-pressure, technology-integrated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Monitor real-time workflow data to ensure the department is meeting hourly and daily throughput targets.

• Team Supervision: Lead and motivate a large team (30-50+ staff), including conducting daily shift briefings and assigning tasks.

• Performance Management: Track individual and team metrics, providing real-time coaching to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.

• Problem Solving: Identify operational bottlenecks or technical issues and implement immediate corrective actions.

• Safety Leadership: Uphold a rigorous safety culture, ensuring all staff comply with WH&S protocols and equipment handling procedures.

• Reporting: Liaise with senior management regarding shift progress, labor requirements, and any barriers to production.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven Experience: 1–2+ years of leadership experience (Team Lead, Supervisor, or Leading Hand) in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center.

• Tech Proficiency: Strong ability to navigate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and use data/KPIs to drive decision-making.

• Communication: Clear and authoritative communication style, with the ability to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts.

• Adaptability: Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, including the ability to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends.

• Resilience: Comfortable standing and walking for the duration of a shift in a fast-paced, high-output setting.
