Role Summary
Employee Welfare will lead Welfare schemes exactly as per the conditions and duties listed in The Factories Act. He will proactively handle grievance. He will ensure and insulate Senior leadership from likely Risks and will report matters to Hods for resolution with likely solutions. He will be part of making productive workforce culture at plant. He will be a link between Company and external stakeholders like Govt Authorities and others such as Labour Office, DISH, MIDC, Police, Gram panchayat, MPCB, ESI, PF, Fire, Hospitals, MBA and Engg colleges, Collector Office, RTO, other civic bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Welfare officer & Liaisoning
- He has to carry out all 15 duties listed in The Factories Act with letter and Spirit.
- He will ensure thru SHE our Management is well protected from Fine/ Prosecution.
- He will be available on Shopfloor for proactive as well as reactive issues.
- He will effectively liase with all government and other Authorities for various approvals and for ongoing operations.
- He will lead company including litigation if any related to blue color with facts and will support Management.
Proactive ER & Grievance Management
- Implement proactive employee relations through climate surveys, shop-floor engagements, and early conflict prevention.
- Establish grievance redressal systems, counselling, conciliation matters, and escalation protocols from project inception.
- Resolve disputes, handle disciplinary matters, terminations, and closures as per Labour laws.
Union Handling & Discipline
- Manage internal/affiliated unions: negotiations, issue resolution, win-win wage settlements, and productivity-linked Agreements.
- Create positive, disciplined work culture by ensuring domestic inquiries are proper and outcome is legally correct.
- He will ensure Productivity and positive thought shopfloor blue-collar.
- He will be a link between Shop Floor Managers, HODs and Blue Color.
- Represent company in conciliation proceedings, bipartite committees, and in multiple industry forums.
Welfare, Engagement & Community Networking
- Oversee worker welfare (medical room, creche, restrooms, Canteen, Transport, safety committees) and other schemes as per Factories Act.
- Drive employee engagement and R & R programs.
- Build extensive networks in Ch. Sambhajinagar, Nasik, Pune, Nagpur, Ahilyanagar auto & engineering community.
External Vigilance & Operations Support
- Monitor external risks: union activities, labor market trends, and compliance threats.
- Support recruitment (walk-ins, job fairs), admin functions (housekeeping, security, transport, canteen), and SHE activities.
- Track ER KPIs (grievance resolution time, absenteeism, settlement success) for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- MSW (Labour Welfare qualified of Maha State) or PG in HR & IR( having Maha State Welfare Officer Registration number).
- 10-15 years in OEM Auto/ Tier 1 manufacturing company in ER/IR .
- Certified Welfare Officer having practical knowledge of Welfare Officer and very good in written, spoken and reading of languages such as Marathi, Hindi and English. (Marathi is mandatory since it is a Statutory requirement).
- He should be domicile of Maharashtra (: since past 15 years he must have stayed at Maha State).
- Proven statutory compliance, union handling, govt. liaisoning, litigation management, and greenfield project experience.
- Factories Act expertise for welfare officer role, track record of wage settlements and disciplined culture creation.
- Ready to relocate and stay at Ch. Sambhaji Nagar.
