Core Responsibilities (~80%):
- Closely collaborate with engineering teams (system, front-end, back-end) and stakeholders (including military experts) to define requirements, align dependencies, and approve XR/UI concepts.
- Build and iterate high-fidelity XR prototypes and simulations (2D/3D, audio, video) using tools such as Unity, Reality Composer Pro, and ProtoPie.
- Research and develop innovative, user-centered AR interaction concepts for enhanced situational awareness.
Supporting Responsibilities:
- Contribute to UX testing (mobile & stationary), complex navigation architectures, wireframes/user flows, storyboards, and all phases of UX research (interviews, usability evaluation, context analysis).
Must-Have Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Interaction Design, Game Design, Graphic/Visual Communication, or related UX field.
- 5+ years creating and shipping AR/VR/XR interaction concepts and prototypes.
- Proven track record delivering XR applications in military, automotive, or medical domains.
- Strong experience working in large, cross-functional organizations.
- Solid proficiency in: Figma, Unity (and/or Unreal), Adobe After Effects.
- Ability to systematically read and understand code (no development required): JavaScript (Three.js), SwiftUI, C++/C#, HTML/CSS.
Strongly Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- ProtoPie, Reality Composer Pro, Blender.
- Hands-on UX testing, interviewing, workshop facilitation in XR contexts.
- Technical curiosity for complex cockpits/interfaces; up-to-date knowledge across web, gaming, mobile.
Key Soft Skills:
- Comfortable in military settings and around weapons.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (workshops, tight teamwork, small-space testing).
- Highly organized and resilient under long-term pressure and shifting priorities.
- Hands-on mentality; at ease working closely with large dev teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Capable of managing 10+ parallel projects with frequently changing focus.
- Fluent German and English (must-have)
