Randstad introduces its refreshed sustainability strategy: a partner for fair and equitable work, integrity, and a better planet.
Randstad, the world’s leading talent provider, today announces its inclusion in the Professionals Services category within the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index (DJ BIC World) for the 11th year in a row. Randstad is ranked in first place as an HR services provider and best in class in its industry for the topics "Labor practices", "Customer Relations", "Transparency & Reporting" and “Materiality”. It received a score of 81 out of 100, well above the industry average of 33 points.
Launched in 1999, the DJ BIC recognizes the leading companies in each industry sector for responsible economic, environmental, and social performance. At Randstad, our commitment to a better, more sustainable future runs through all our operations. To further this impact, we recently refreshed our sustainability strategy to focus on three interconnected pillars building on our Partner for Talent strategy: being a partner for fair and equitable work, a partner with integrity, and a partner for a better planet. These pillars guide our actions to address global societal needs and reflect our commitment to making the world of work better for all stakeholders.
Myriam Beatove Moreale, CHRO and Chair of the Sustainability Committee, commented:
"We are incredibly proud to be included in the DJ BIC for the 11th consecutive year. This recognition reflects our purpose-driven approach to being a true partner that supports our clients, talent and our people, and driving sustainable practices that benefit both our business and society. Whether we are advocating for fair and equitable work, operating with the highest integrity, or advancing our net-zero ambitions for a better planet, this is a collective effort. I want to thank all our colleagues for their dedication and contribution to making Randstad a more sustainable and impactful organization."
Randstad was also recognized in the Futureproof Index (conducted by Rotterdam School of Management, Nyenrode Business University, and The Futureproofing Institute), as the second highest scoring company in the Netherlands, further validating our dedication to generating impact across the world of work and our communities.
Randstad has chosen to focus its efforts on five of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), gender equality (SDG 5), and quality education (SDG 4). In addition, with regard to climate action (SDG 13), it has committed to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Business Ambition for the 1.5ºC pledge, and to setting science-based targets with the ambition of Net Zero by 2050.
