Job Summary:This Level 3 Lead Accountant role within the Finance department will be responsible for various accounting operations deliverables. The individual will work cross-functionally with global teams, including Global Business Service, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other non-finance departments. This role requires both strong teamwork and independent performance.Responsibilities:•Perform daily accounting operations and month-end close activities, including journal entries, analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.•Research and advise on accounting topics and transactions.•Support the SOX/internal control team in developing and maintaining control procedures and documentation.•Assist with global and regional interim and year-end financial statement audits.•Support global and regional tax requirements from an accounting perspective (e.g., statutory financial compilation).•Participate in developing and improving financial reporting procedures.•Contribute to projects and initiatives with Accounting, Tax, Financial Systems, and Global Business Service teams.•Proactively communicate with global stakeholders to deliver results and seek necessary support.Key Characteristics & Experience:•3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience.•Detail-oriented and self-sufficient.•Self-learner and self-starter with minimal supervision needed.•Fast executor with the ability to adapt.•Strong ownership and willingness to go beyond assigned tasks.•Ability to analyze complex issues and identify common solutions.•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.•Ability to work in uncertain and unstructured environments.•Effective and concise communication skills with both finance and non-finance professionals.•Ability to engage stakeholders and facilitate organized efforts.•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.•Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle).•Comprehensive knowledge of JGAAP/IFRS.•Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.•Nissho Bookkeeping Certification, Level 2, or equivalent qualification.
