Asset Condition Monitoring– HV/LV & Cable Systems
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Asset Condition Monitoring Specialist to support the health assessment, performance tracking, and lifecycle planning of critical electrical assets, with a focus on HV/LV systems and cable infrastructure. This role plays a key part in enabling condition-based maintenance strategies, improving asset reliability, and minimizing downtime across operations.
...
You will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and digital teams to implement asset health monitoring programs, analyze diagnostic data, and provide actionable insights to guide investment and maintenance decisions. Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the health and condition of electrical assets including HV/LV cables, transformers, switchgear, and associated components.
• Analyze asset performance data (load, temperature, insulation resistance, partial discharge, etc.) to assess degradation trends and failure risk.
• Design and implement asset condition monitoring programs using diagnostic tools and sensors.
• Support condition-based maintenance (CBM) and predictive maintenance strategies, reducing reliance on time-based schedules.
• Maintain asset health indices and support the development of risk-based asset replacement plans.
• Collaborate with field technicians and engineers to validate inspection findings and align maintenance interventions.
• Maintain asset health records in CMMS/EAM systems and ensure accurate documentation of condition reports, inspections, and test results.
• Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for failures and recommend long-term mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and support continuous improvement in asset integrity processes. Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• Experience in asset condition monitoring, electrical maintenance, or asset health analysis.
• Strong knowledge of HV and LV systems, including underground cables, transformers, and switchgear.
• Familiarity with asset health indices, criticality assessments, and failure mode analysis.
• Experience using CMMS/EAM platforms (e.g., Maximo, Ellipse) to track asset data and work history.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, test results, and performance trends to guide maintenance decisions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills
• Exposure to digital asset health platforms, IoT sensors, or condition monitoring software.
• Understanding of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and Asset management frameworks.
• Knowledge of GIS systems for spatial asset tracking.
• Industry certifications (IAM, CMRP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
