Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management & Inspection
Conduct regular quality inspections at farms, vendors, and sourcing points for South-region SKUs.
Ensure compliance with defined quality parameters and procurement standards.
Monitor grading, sorting, post-harvest handling, and storage practices.
Identify crop-stage issues, seasonal variations, pest/disease impact, and post-harvest defects.
2. Sourcing & Vendor Coordination
Work closely with sourcing teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality produce.
Evaluate supplier and farm performance and suggest quality improvements.
Support onboarding and development of new vendors and farmers.
3. Customer Complaint Management
Handle South-region customer complaints through root-cause analysis.
Implement corrective and preventive actions with sourcing partners and vendors.
Track repeat issues and drive continuous quality improvement.
4. Inventory & Freshness Control
Monitor DC and store-level holdings, shelf life, ripeness, and shrinkage.
Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices are followed.
Take proactive actions to reduce spoilage, DOH, and stock losses.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, Sourcing, and QA teams.
Support category planning during peak and seasonal demand.
Share technical insights and regional quality trends with management.
6. Field Travel & Reporting
Travel extensively across South India sourcing locations.
Provide regular reports on quality performance, issues, and improvement actions.
