Job Purpose ● Overview: shall be responsible for end-to-end ownership of factory stores operations, including material inward, storage, issuance, job work, dispatch coordination, inventory accuracy, ERP discipline, and team management.. 2. Key Responsibilities Overall Stores Operations ● Take complete charge of all Stores activities: Inward, GRR, QA coordination, storage, binning, material issue, dispatch, job work, and returns. ● Ensure material availability at point of use with zero disruption to production. ● Act as the single-point owner for all Stores-related issues at the factory. Team Leadership & Discipline ● Lead and manage the entire Stores team (staff + casuals). ● Clearly allocate roles, shifts, and responsibilities and ensure adherence. ● Enforce attendance, discipline, productivity, and accountability. ● Coach supervisors and staff; identify training needs and skill gaps. ● Drive ownership culture instead of dependency on Procurement / PPC. ERP & Process Discipline ● Ensure 100% ERP compliance for: o GRR posting o Material issue o Job work challans o Dispatch documentation ● Prevent back-dated entries, manual bypasses, and ad-hoc practices. ● Actively coordinate with IT / ERP team for issue resolution and improvements. Inventory Control & Accuracy ● Maintain accurate inventory at all times (physical vs system). ● Implement and sustain: o FIFO o Bin location discipline o Identification & traceability ● Lead cycle counting and stock audits and close variances with root-cause analysis.● Control slow-moving, non-moving, rejected, and surplus material.
