In this role you will work full time on a 3 month assignment, earning a pay rate of $23.00 per hour, and work in support of our client's Toronto ON office.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
- Provide accurate information regarding the claims process while strictly adhering to confidentiality protocols.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the appropriate internal departments.
- Record detailed and objective call notes in the system for documentation and audit purposes.
- Triage and resolve client or internal inquiries submitted through the ticketing system.
- Report concerning trends or recurring issues to management for proactive intervention.
- Code claim details based on policy documentation, accurately capturing sensitive descriptions without bias.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure completeness and compliance with internal standards.
- Participate in regular debriefing sessions and mental well-being check-ins.
Qualifications
- Insurance Experience: Minimum 1 year of customer service experience within an insurance company.
- Domain Expertise: Previous experience with claims processing is required.
- General Experience: At least 1 year of experience in phone-based communication (customer service, clinical, or social intervention).
- Languages: Full fluency in both French and English (required for regular communication with clients outside Quebec).
- Language Assets: Proficiency in an Indigenous language (e.g., Cree, Inuktitut, Ojibway) is a strong asset.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word) and data entry experience.
- Education & Knowledge: Knowledge of Indigenous culture is an asset; high emotional resilience and discretion are mandatory.
