Job Description- The BMS Operator monitors, controls, and maintains building automation systems to ensure optimal performance of HVAC,Lighting, Energy and other building systems.
Responsible for maintaining comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient building operations through continuous monitoring and system adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
System Monitoring & Control:
- Monitor BMS workstations and respond to alarms, alerts, and system notifications
- Operate HVAC systems, lighting controls, and other automated building systems
- Adjust system parameters to maintain optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality
- Perform system startups, shutdowns, and scheduling operations
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine inspections of BMS equipment and sensors
- Identify and troubleshoot system malfunctions and equipment failures
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors for repairs
Documentation & Reporting:
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
- Document system alarms, faults, and corrective actions taken
- Maintain equipment maintenance records and service histories
Emergency Response:
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls and system failures
- Coordinate with emergency services when required
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- Engineering Degree require
Experience:
- 2-5 years experience in building automation or HVAC systems
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Familiarity with energy management principles
