The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, leading the financial stewardship of Hospitality. The role is accountable for shaping the company’s financial strategy, ensuring disciplined capital allocation, driving profitability across hotel assets, and building a robust governance and compliance framework.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the company’s financial vision, long-term planning, and fiscal governance.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/Board on growth, risk, and capital structure.
- Drive EBITDA improvement, cost optimization, and asset ROI across the hospitality portfolio.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling for all hotel operations and new developments.
- Establish performance dashboards, KPIs, and MIS systems to support business decisions.
- Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and project feasibility studies.
Accounting, Controls & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
- Build strong internal controls, audit mechanisms, and SOPs across properties and corporate office.
- Oversee statutory audits, tax planning, and regulatory compliance (GST, TDS, ROC filings, hospitality-specific norms).
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage liquidity, cash flows, banking relationships, and working capital cycles.
- Lead fundraising, debt restructuring, and negotiations with financial institutions.
- Monitor cash burn, capex budgets, and investment returns.
Commercial & Business Partnering
- Drive commercial negotiations with operators, vendors, contractors, and partners.
- Evaluate deals for new properties, leases, franchises, management contracts, and JV arrangements.
- Support expansion plans with robust business cases and financial validation.
Risk Management
- Build enterprise risk frameworks covering financial, operational, compliance, and market risks.
- Implement insurance policies, hedging strategies, and financial risk mitigation processes.
Technology & Systems
- Champion digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency and governance.
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team across corporate and property levels.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, transparency, and ethical financial conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA
- 10 - 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Prior experience in hospitality, real estate, hotels, or asset-heavy businesses required.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, hotel P&Ls, project financing, and capex management.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, banking negotiations, and investor management.
