How will the Director of Corporate Affairs drive impact?
You will translate Randstad’s overarching "Partner for Talent" framework into an integrated, market-leading corporate affairs strategy across our Operational, Professional, Enterprise, and Digital business specializations. Your responsibilities are divided into four strategic pillars:
1. Executive Advisory & Strategic Communications
- Trusted Counsel: Serve as the strategic communications advisor to the DACH Executive Team, ensuring the employee and market voice informs critical business decisions.
- Thought Leadership: Direct all DACH media relations, blending global corporate narratives with local market nuances to maximize share of voice and brand equity.
- Narrative Development: Craft and execute compelling communication strategies for executive announcements, town halls, and critical leadership milestones.
2. High-Stakes Public Affairs & Advocacy
- Political Advocacy: Navigate complex regulatory landscapes and labor markets, translating political monitoring into actionable executive counsel.
- Coalition Building: Position Randstad as a premier industry authority by engaging directly with senior government officials, policy makers, and key industry coalitions.
3. Transformation & Change Management
- Change Communications: Develop and activate strategic transformation narratives to support Randstad’s engagement and organizational change agenda in the DACH region.
- Media Coaching: Provide high-level crisis preparation and media coaching to the executive leadership team.
4. Sustainability & ESG
- Social Impact: Oversee Randstad DACH’s approach to sustainability and CSR, aligning local initiatives with global ESG targets and business objectives.
- NGO & Community Engagement: Collaborate with HR and external NGO partners to cultivate high-impact volunteerism and community programs that drive employee engagement.
What is the structure of the corporate affairs team?
- Established Communications Specialists: Senior professionals with deep-seated knowledge of Randstad’s culture, key narratives, and an extensive network of top-tier media relations across the DACH region.
- Seasoned Public Affairs Experts: Highly experienced practitioners with a sophisticated understanding of regional labor market policies, regulatory environments, and political monitoring.
- Dedicated Sustainability & ESG Leads: Impact-driven experts who actively manage our corporate citizenship programs, NGO partnerships, and local sustainability strategies.
Your role as Director is to act as the orchestrator: aligning these disciplines under a unified regional vision, mentoring senior talent, removing operational roadblocks, and elevating their collective insights to drive high-level strategic decisions at the executive board level.
