Role Summary
To support the Plant and Corporate EHS leadership in implementing, monitoring, and continuously
improving Environment, Health & Safety management systems, ensuring compliance with statutory
requirements, prevention of incidents, promotion of a strong safety culture, and achievement of sustainability
goals.

Primary Responsibilities
• Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, and systems
across the plant.
• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and drive corrective
actions.
• Ensure timely submission and adherence to all statutory EHS compliances (Factory Act, Environment,
Fire, etc.).
• Coordinate environmental monitoring activities (air, water, noise, waste management) and ensure
compliance with limits.
• Maintain and periodically review the Plant Emergency Management System, including emergency
preparedness plans, mock drills, and emergency equipment readiness.
• Lead or support incident/near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and closure of corrective and
preventive actions.
• Drive implementation and continual improvement of EHS Management Systems (HIRA, AIA, SOPs,
MPs, EMPs).
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, audits, and management system documentation.
• Plan and conduct EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Organize and promote EHS awareness initiatives such as Safety Month, Environment Month, Safety
Committee Meetings, and campaigns.
• Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with company EHS standards.
• Initiatives of sustainability related to energy conservation, waste reduction, water management, and
ESG goals.
• Prepare EHS reports, KPIs, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
• Act as a role model for safe behavior and promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
Minimum Education
• Govt. approved safety diploma/RLI
Essential M.Sc. Environment/ B. Tech / MTech (Any Branch)
Minimum / Specific Experience
• Overall experience of 7-12 years in EHS.
• Exposure in the Automobile Industry
Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
• Awareness on EHS Legal Compliances
• Understanding and Deliver Customer’s EHS requirement.
• Excellent Communication – Verbal and Written
• Strategic and creative approach to problem solving
• Strong teamwork spirit.
• Shall impart training on EHS related
experience
