• Oversee negotiations with approved suppliers for procurement within budget; closely monitor negotiations for high value purchases
• Supervise smooth processing of procurement process, including item codification, supplier registration and data update in the system
• Track and monitor spend data and identify areas for potential spend optimization
• Execute strategic souring initiatives such as introducing new suppliers, introducing new materials and negotiating long-term deals
• Supervise raw material inwarding process, including preparation of goods receipt report and other documentation, physical checking of material upon receipt and storage of materials in appropriate internal locations
• Monitor overall Materials activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
• Lead and direct the continuous improvement of Materials department’s systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, market standards and
changes in the business environment
• Guide, mentor and develop the Materials department’s team to take larger and more complex responsibilities
• Establish a high-performance working environment within the Materials department Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent is required;
Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred
