SUMMARYThe Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the full execution of HR programs and operations in Japan, covering a broad range of human resources activities.REPORTING LINE / DEPARTMENTThis role reports to the HR Director for Japan.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES•Oversee compensation and benefits activities by managing external service providers and coordinating with Finance and other internal stakeholders.•Manage all social and labor insurance processes, including health insurance, long-term care insurance, pension programs, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and corporate pension schemes.•Ensure accurate tracking and management of employee attendance, paid leave, and related records within the time and attendance system.•Maintain comprehensive and compliant employee data, including both document-based and digital files. Manage employee records within the HRIS system (e.g., Workday) in collaboration with global HR teams.•Coordinate, schedule, and support learning and development programs in partnership with internal departments, global teams, and external providers. Plan and deliver internal training sessions related to labor law or company regulations.•Support the end-to-end recruitment process: identifying suitable sourcing channels, managing direct sourcing activities, engaging with search firms, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing offer documentation, and supporting onboarding timelines. Provide support to the HR Director on organizational planning.•Assist the HR Director with cyclical and ad-hoc HR initiatives, such as performance reviews, talent review processes, employee engagement surveys, and related HR programs.•Stay updated on changes to labor legislation and ensure implementation of required updates, including revisions to workplace rules, overtime agreements, and other compliance-related procedures.•Ensure all eligible employees receive required periodic medical examinations by managing external vendors and coordinating logistics.
求められる経験
•7+ years’ experience in HR management, including compensation & benefits, labor law compliance, and related HR operations. Experience in recruitment and/or learning & development is an advantage.
•Business-level English communication skills for interaction with international counterparts.
•Proficiency in MS Office applications.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Class-1 Health Officer certification (“Dai 1-shu Eisei Kanrisha”).
•Strong understanding of HR practices both in Japan and globally, with the ability to assess organizational impact.
•Interest and literacy in AI tools or emerging technologies, with the mindset to modernize workflows and improve legacy processes.
