Job Title: HR ManagerEmployment Type: Full-Time, PermanentLocation: Tokyo (Shinagawa area)Reporting Line: APAC HR DirectorPosition OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead all human resources functions for the Japan office of a global organization. This position plays a key role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives, ensuring compliance with Japanese labor regulations, and fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to local leadership and a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance across the full HR lifecycle.Key Responsibilities•Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and regional direction.•Lead end-to-end recruitment activities including workforce planning, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.•Manage employee relations matters, including performance issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes in compliance with Japanese labor law.•Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and payroll coordination to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.•Support and drive performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning.•Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and talent development.•Ensure full compliance with local employment laws and internal policies.•Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting, and employee records.•Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.•Coordinate training and development programs to support workforce capability building.•Lead or contribute to HR projects at both local and regional levels.•Collaborate with external stakeholders including recruitment partners, legal advisors, and relevant authorities.
求められる経験
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
•Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
•Strong knowledge of Japanese labor law and HR best practices.
•Experience in a multinational environment is preferred; exposure to technology or manufacturing industries is advantageous.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
•Ability to operate independently while collaborating within a regional structure.
•Business-level Japanese and English (spoken and written).
•High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
•Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
•Experience using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
