4. Role & Responsibilities (What the candidate is supposed to do on the job) :
• Work closely with account management/customers to develop a workable exhaust system layout and to identify and resolve system-level issues. Act as engineering face to customer.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team and customer to finalize design which is feasible to manufacture.
• Generate/maintain detailed models of designs and system level Bill of Materials.
• Generate specifications for product (2D prints, Engineering specifications, etc)
• Initiate and coordinate the technical support work (including bellow design, flow and vibration testing, etc.)
• Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) is implemented in development of design (DQR, DVA, Design Reviews, etc)
• Finalize DVP & R with customers and lead to complete the tests such as RLDA, temperature drop, vibration etc
• Experience in field failure analysis
• Maintain and manage project schedules.
• Travel to customer and supplier sites as necessary, perform on-site testing, and present our technology.
• Review/Approve/Process Customer Print Conformance

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• BS Mechanical Engineer or equivalent educational degree is required.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics required.
• 4 to 8 years of experience related to product design using solid modeling tools (Inventor
preferred).
• Basic understanding of exhaust systems and bellows (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of vehicle chassis systems (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of exhaust components/after treatment (preferred)
